Who provides this site
SponsorDirectory is published by No Fear Tech Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom. Using the site means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it.
This is not immigration advice
The site republishes public records and describes what they say. It cannot tell you what a licence, a rating or a change means for your situation, and nothing on it should be read as advice. In the United Kingdom, immigration advice may only be given by a person regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority, or by a solicitor or barrister. If you send an enquiry through the site we pass it to one regulated adviser, who decides whether to take your case; we take no part in the advice and receive no account of it.
We are not the Home Office, not part of it, and not endorsed by it. An organisation appearing here is not endorsed or recommended by us.
What the data is, and what it is not
Sponsor entries come from the Register of licensed sponsors: workers, published by the Home Office, and company details from the Companies House public register. Both are Crown copyright, published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. We reproduce them as published, with the date of the file we hold shown on every page.
We do not correct the register, and we cannot: only the Home Office can change what it says. A link between a register entry and a Companies House record is our own inference, made only where we can defend it, and it can be wrong. Employer size, turnover and employee counts come from filed accounts and can be out of date or mis-filed. If something here is wrong, tell us and we will look.
The site is provided as it stands. We do not promise it will be available, complete or current, and we are not liable for what you do on the strength of it. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Reusing the data
The underlying records are Crown copyright under the Open Government Licence, so you may copy, publish and build on them commercially, from GOV.UK or from here, provided you attribute the source as the licence requires. Every download and every API response carries that attribution.
What is ours is this site: its text, its design, its code, the match between a register entry and a company, the change history we compute, and the identifiers we issue. Those are our copyright and database rights. Scraping the site wholesale is neither necessary nor welcome when the same data is sold as a file and served by an API.
If you buy the dataset or the API
- The export is £49 once. The link works for 30 days and up to 20 downloads.
- API access is £29 a month, 50,000 requests a month and 120 a minute. Cancel any time; access runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
- A key is yours alone. Do not share it or publish it. We may suspend a key that is shared, that is used to disguise the source of the data, or that is used in a way that threatens the service for everyone else.
- We may change what the dataset contains as the source files change. If a change removes something you rely on we will say so in the change feed.
- Refunds: if the data is materially not what this site describes, tell us within 14 days and we will refund it.
If you claim an entry
- Claiming means saying you are authorised to act for that organisation. We verify the mailbox and check the domain by hand, and we can refuse or revoke a claim without giving a reason.
- You may add a careers link, a contact link and a short description. We check every version before it appears and will refuse anything that reads as immigration advice, promises a sponsorship outcome, advertises fees, or suggests the Home Office endorses you.
- You are responsible for what you submit, and for it being accurate and yours to publish. Claiming changes nothing in the register entry itself.
If you buy a featured placement
- £15 a month. It pins your entry above the list on its town and industry pages and shows your links, and every card that gets it is labelled as a paid placement.
- It buys position and a link, nothing else. It cannot change a rating, a route, the change history, or whether an entry appears in the changes feed. Those come from the Home Office file and are not for sale at any price.
- Cancel any time. The placement runs to the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part of a month.
- We may end a placement, refunding the unused part, if the entry is removed from the register or a claim is revoked.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site to break the law, to harass anyone, to misrepresent yourself as an organisation you do not act for, or to present this site or its data as an official government service. Do not attempt to defeat its rate limits or access controls.
Changes, and the law that applies
We may change these terms; the date at the top says when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means accepting the version then published. They are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
